This is a museum quality vintage Zuni Native American jewelry silver necklace handmade by one of the most famous artists in history, Oscar Alexius. What we love about this piece is that it is a huge inlaid kachina figure. Look at the detail of this piece, check out how the arms wonderfully dangle as well as the feet. The kachina rests in three different silver segments which makes the necklace that much more unique and fabulous. Situated throughout the necklace are wonderful hand wrought round and torpedo shaped silver beads with a traditional silver clasp. The inlay consists of remarkable Number 8 turquoise, spiny oyster, and onyx. Surrounding the inlay are marvelous silver flattened shells. The pendant measures around 3-1/2" X 3-1/4". Sterling silver, marked. Cir. 1980's+. Signed by Zuni Native American jewelry artist, Oscar Alexius . The length of the necklace measures around 28". Sturdy 37 grams.
