Very Important Vintage Native American Zuni Helen Lincoln Zunie Turquoise Sterling Silver Buckle

This is an exceptional Zuni inlaid silver cow buckle. This important piece was handmade by one of the most famous Zuni artists in history, Harold and Lincoln Zunie. Their signature design was the cow inlay and this piece is extremely rare. The inlay consists of natural Blue Gem turquoise, coral, mother of pearl and onyx. Situated around the entire rectangular shaped buckle is a wonderful hand twisted silver lasso. Accenting one bottom corner of the buckle are superior silver works that look like a plant. This buckle measures around 3-3/8" X 2-1/4" and can fit a belt width of about 1-1/2" or less. Sterling silver. Signed by Zuni artist, Harold and Lincoln Zunie . Cir. 1970's+. Sturdy 84 grams.
