Very Important Vintage Native American Navajo Turquoise Inlay Sterling Silver Necklace

This is an incredible vintage Navajo inlaid silver necklace. This amazing necklace contains a large detailed inlaid silver pendant. The pendant measures a stunning 2-1/2" X 2-1/4" and consists of beautiful inlaid stones and shells that consist of purple spiny oyster, Lone Mountain turquoise and lapis. The inlaid stones and shells are wonderfully placed that graduate in size towards the center. The silver works surrounding and accenting the stones and shells consist of large detailed sun bursting stamped fan flanks with a single silver shell, channel works, wave patterns and five remarkable dangling silver raindrop patterns. The rest of the necklace is comprised of a wonderful silver link chain with an end traditional silver clasp. Lone Mountain Turquoise is a specific type of turquoise gemstone that is highly valued for its unique color and quality. Turquoise is a blue-green mineral that has been used for jewelry and ornamental purposes for thousands of years.
