Very Important!! Vintage Native American Navajo Tom Bahe Sterling Silver Belt Buckle Old

This is a marvelous Navajo all silver very important buckle handmade by the famous and early hallmarking artist ever, Tom Bahe, who I believe was born in 1917. Tom completely hand carved this amazing elk buckle and he stamped it. This piece is very important as he was the very first artist who hallmarked his jewelry. Bordering the buckle are slanted line segments. The silver carvings on this buckle are just phenomenal. This buckle measures around 3" X 2-3/8" and can fit a belt width of about 1-3/8" or less. Sterling silver. Signed by Navajo artist, Tom Bahe . Cir. 1970's+. Sturdy 57 grams.
