Very Important Vintage Native American Navajo Kee Joe Benally Turquoise Sterling Silver Necklace

This is a museum quality vintage Navajo turquoise and silver necklace and earring set handmade by the famous artist, Kee Joe Benally. Kee Joe Benally is one of the best silversmith artists in Navajo history as he was known for his incredible works of art. What I love about this necklace is that it contains three very rare large teardrop shaped green Persin turquoise stones with the largest measuring around 1-1/2" X 7/8". Surrounding each of the stones are thick silver ropes. Accenting the stones are beautiful graduating silver shell pendants. This necklace contains a marvelous handmade silver link chain with a traditional silver clasp. The earrings beautifully match the necklace with each measuring around 1-3/8" X 1". Kee Joe won the Arizona Living Treasure award which is extremely coveted and very difficult to win as only one person wins it per year. Sterling silver. Cir. 1980's+.
