This is a museum quality vintage Hopi overlay silver bolo tie handmade by the famous artist, Bernard Dawahoya. Dawahoya is a multiple award winner and even won the 1989 Arizona Indian Living Treasure award which is only given to one individual per year. Bernards workmanship is truly impeccable. This bolo contains outstanding overlay patterns that consist of wave works, feather patterns, and chisel works. The bolo measures around 2-3/4" X 2-1/4". Resting at the bottom of the wonderful 36" thick black leather tie are stunning silver cones with accenting arrows. Signed by Hopi artist, Bernard Dawahoya. Sterling silver. Cir. 1960's+. Sturdy 47 grams.
