This is an exceptional vintage Navajo silver bolo. This bolo is home to the show-stopping huge #8 turquoise mine stone! It's surrounded with a double border as it's graced on the one side with the huge silver applique leaf and berry! It has a brown braided leather tie with 2" silver tips and is about 39" in length. The Number 8 Turquoise Mine is a famous turquoise mining site located in Nevada, USA. It has been a significant source of high-quality turquoise for many years - known for producing turquoise with a distinctive golden-brown to black spiderweb matrix pattern, which is highly sought after by collectors and jewelry designers. Turquoise from the Number 8 mine is prized for its unique color and pattern, making it a popular choice for Native American jewelry, particularly in Southwestern Native American art and craftsmanship.
