Thomas Singer Vintage Native American Navajo Turquoise Sterling Silver Purple Shell Necklace

This is a fabulous vintage Navajo multiple stone and shell silver necklace handmade by the very famous artist, Thomas Singer. Thomas is known for his impeccable workmanship with silver works as well as hand cut disc stones and shells. This necklace contains a beautiful plethora of hand cut disc shaped graduating spiny oyster shells, corals, and turquoise stones. The turquoise appears to be from the wonderful Sleeping Beauty and Royston turquoise mine. Resting throughout the stones and shells are wonderful large handmade tubule shaped silver beads with the two bottom ones being amazingly hand carved. This necklace is signed at the end by the traditional silver clasp which is rare to see on a necklace. Sterling silver, marked. Cir. 1970's+. Signed by Navajo artist, Thomas Singer . The length of the necklace measures around 20". Sturdy 95 grams.
