Signed Pictoral Vintage Native American Navajo Sterling Silver Concho Belt

This is a museum quality Navajo silver concho belt. This remarkable belt contains 12 magnificent hand carved Navajo scene silver conchos. Each of the beautiful rectangular shaped silver conchos measure around 1-1/2" X 1" and also consists of impeccable hand carved Navajo sceneries. The scenes on the concho belt consist of Native people in the desert living out their lives. Some contain hogans, rug weavings, picnic, cattle, riding horses through the desert, and much more. The intricacy of these carvings are absolutely phenomenal. Bordering each concho are wonderful teepee stampings. Even the large rectangular shaped silver buckle contains outstanding carvings and measures a stunning 2-1/4" X 1-1/2". I absolutely love this wonderful belt. Signed by Navajo artist, D. Saunders. Sterling silver, marked. Cir. 1970's+. This belt will fit a waist size between 30-1/2" and 38". Sturdy 208 grams.
