The Morenci turquoise mine, located in southeastern Arizona, is renowned for producing some of the finest and most sought-after turquoise in the world. Known for its vibrant blue stones with striking pyrite inclusions, which often resemble silver, Morenci turquoise stands out for its beauty and uniqueness. This mine, one of the oldest and most productive in the United States, has a rich history dating back to the late 19th century when it was primarily a copper mining operation.
