Rare Vintage Native American Hopi Sterling Silver Turquoise Concho Belt

This is a magnificent vintage Hopie turquoise and silver thick silver concho belt. This belt contains 13 outstanding large hand carved silver conchos, 7 being large oval shaped and the other 6 being beautiful butterfly shaped conchos. The larger conchos measure around 2-5/8" X 2". Situated in the center of each concho is a beautiful oval shaped spiderweb turquoise stone. Surrounding the stones are wonderful silver works that consist of ropes, sun stampings, dotted works, half moon patterns and repoussed shells. The large rectangular shaped silver buckle measures around 3" X 2-1/4" and contains wonderful line segments and wave works. The stones measure around 3/8" x 1/4". Signed by Hopi artist, Art Batola. Sterling silver, marked. Cir. 1970's+. This belt will fit a waist size between 32-1/4" and 42-1/2". Sturdy 403 grams.
