Rare Charlie Signed Vintage Native American Navajo Turquoise Sterling Silver Concho Belt

This is a museum quality vintage Navajo turquoise and silver concho belt. I absolutely love the detailing and intricacy on this belt as it contains 15 outstanding handmade round and butterfly shaped silver conchos. The larger conchos each measure around 2-1/8" X 1-1/8" and each of the butterfly shaped conchos measures around 1-1/2" X 3/4". Located in the center of each concho are marvelous dome shaped Royston turquoise stones that give the belt that much more character and detailing. The amazing large rectangular shaped buckle measures a whopping 3" X 2" and contains a center Royston turquoise stone as well as repoussed shells and sun bursting patterns with accenting very precise and closesly hand carved slanted line segments. Located on the back of each concho are amazing leather backings giving the belt that much more sturdiness as well. Signed by Navajo artist, D'Charlie. Sterling silver, marked. Cir. 1970's+. This belt will fit a waist size between 38" and 45-1/2". Sturdy 225 grams.
