One Of The Finest Lapis Hand Carved Sterling Silver Vintage Native American Navajo Bracelet

  • $ 1,012.49

This is a tremendous vintage Navajo large single stone silver feather cuff bracelet. This outstanding bracelet contains a large offset fat teardrop lapis stone. The channeled bezel surrounding the stone is beautiful. What I absolutely love about this bracelet is that the artist made the entire cuff to be a thick and sturdy silver feather design. The feather consists of mind blowing multiple chisel works creating the wonderful feather look. Running through the center is a protruding part of the feather. Such beautiful workmanship. A Navajo silver feather bracelet with a large teardrop lapis stone is a beautiful and distinctive piece of jewelry that incorporates elements of Navajo craftsmanship and traditional materials. The Navajo people, known for their expertise in silversmithing, often create intricate and unique designs using sterling silver and various gemstones. Lapis lazuli is a deep blue gemstone with a rich history dating back thousands of years. It is prized for its vibrant color and is often associated with wisdom, truth, and spirituality. The silver feather motif is a common design element in Navajo jewelry and holds cultural significance. Feathers are seen as symbols of protection, spirituality, and communication with the divine. The use of a feather design in a bracelet adds an elegant and meaningful touch to the overall piece. The silver may be adorned with various traditional Navajo stampwork, hand-stamped patterns, or other decorative elements, showcasing the skill and artistry of the Navajo silversmith. A Navajo silver feather bracelet with a large teardrop lapis stone would be a striking and culturally significant piece of jewelry, blending the beauty of natural gemstones with the craftsmanship of Navajo artists. It could be a cherished accessory or a meaningful gift for someone who appreciates Native American art and culture. The center stone measures around 1-1/8" x 3/4". The width of the bracelet measures around 1-1/4". Signed by Navajo artist, Gatewood . Sterling silver, marked. Cir. 1970's+. The inside end to end measures around 5-1/4" with an additional 1" gap.
