One Of The Best Vintage Santo Domingo Native American Navajo Royston Turquoise Necklace

This is an exceptional Santo Domingo/ Navajo turquoise and spiny oyster necklace. This amazing piece is very sturdy and large consisting of a mind blowing plethora of beautiful turquoise disc shaped stones. Accenting the stones are marvelous disc shaped spiny oyster shells. Situated throughout the entire necklace are wonderful smaller disc shaped turquoise stones. The workmanship on this necklace is just outstanding. The turquoise on this necklace appears to be from the remarkable Royston turquoise mine. Resting at the ends of the piece are incredible tan shell heishi with a thick braided neck piece. Cir. Mid to late 20th century . The length of the necklace measures around 34". Sturdy 195 grams.
