This is an impressive vintage Navajo spiny oyster shell necklace. This is one of the finest spiny oyster necklaces we have ever collected. Just look at those marvelous round shaped spiny oyster shells that are large and measure around 1/2" in diameter. This necklace contains 5 remarkable strands of spiny oyster shells that graduate into one strand towards the ends. Seperating the 5 strands from the single stran are large silver cones. Sterling silver. Cir. 20th century . The length of the necklace measures around 22". Sturdy 172 grams.
