This is an impressive vintage Navajo three stone silver cuff bracelet. This outstanding bracelet contains three remarkable large chunky spiderweb turquoise stones that are a light blue to green coloration. The turquoise stones appear to be from the fabulous Number 8 turquoise mine. Number 8 Turquoise Mine is a historic mine located in Eureka County, Nevada, USA. It was one of the largest producers of turquoise in North America, and its turquoise is highly valued for its unique color and quality. The mine was discovered in the early 1920s by a Native American family, the Ottesons, who worked the mine for many years. In the 1950s, the mine was purchased by Dowell Ward, who recognized the quality of the turquoise and began to market it to the jewelry industry. The turquoise from the Number 8 mine is known for its distinctive bright blue color, with a unique matrix of golden brown or black spiderwebbing. The turquoise is also known for its hardness and durability, which makes it ideal for use in jewelry and other decorative objects. The center stone is a large oval shape while the two outer stones are large triangular shaped. Surrounding the center stone are mind blowing silver works that include wave works, raindrops and flattened raindrops with accenting silver ropes. This bracelet contains a sturdy quadruple silver shank cuff that graduates into one shank towards the ends. The stamp works at the ends of the cuff are amazing consisting of lizards, plants and sun works. The center stone measures around 1-1/2" x 1". The width of the bracelet measures around 1-1/2". Sterling silver. Cir. Mid century . The inside end to end measures around 5-1/4" with an additional 1-1/4" gap. Sturdy 48 grams.
