This is a tremendous vintage Navajo turquoise silver concho belt being one of the finest concho belts we have collected this year. This belt consists of remarkable very rare square shaped green turquoise stones that are placed beautifully on every other concho.This belt contains 15 superior large and thick silver conchos, 8 being butterfly conchos and 7 being a large oval shape. The larger conchos each measure around 3" X 2-1/2". The silver works that are located on the conchos as well as the phenomenal buckle consist of amazing sun stampings, teepee patterns and repoussed shells. The large buckle measures around 3" X 2-3/4" and contains two more fabulous turquoise stones. The detailing on this belt is just astonishing. The stones measure around 5/8" x 1/2". Sterling silver, marked. Cir. Mid to late 20th century. This belt will fit a waist size between 32-1/2" and 47". Sturdy 573 grams.
