Offset Turquoise Bears!! Vintage Santo Domingo Sterling Silver Shell Necklace

This is a wonderful vintage Santo Domingo double strand necklace. This amazing necklace contains two fascinating strands that include hand cut disc shaped graduating tan shells. The smaller discs measure around 1/4" in diameter while the largest disc measures around 5/8" in diameter. SItuated throughout the disc shells are marvelous tan shell heishi. Accenting one side of the necklace on both strands are large hand carved turquoise bears with the largest measuring around 1-1/4" X 7/8". The turquoise bears appear to be from the fascinating Royston turquoise mine. Resting at the ends of the necklace are long silver cones with accenting silver beads and a traditional silver clasp. Sterling silver. Cir. 1970's+. The length of the necklace measures around 32". Sturdy 94 grams.
