Native American Important Rob Leekya (d.) Vintage Zuni Turquoise Sterling Silver Concho Belt

Best Zuni belt we have collected in a long time. This is a museum quality vintage Zuni turquoise silver concho belt. This impeccable concho belt contains 12 outstanding large and thick silver conchos that each measure around 2-1/4" X 1-3/8". Situated in the center of each of the 12 conchos are 3 large and chunky Morenci turquoise stones, a total of 39 beautiful Morenci turquoise stones including the 3 gigantic ones on the buckle. The surrounding silver works on both the conchos and buckle consist of phenomenal sun bursting flanks, raindrops, ropes and bordering deep wave patterns. The buckle matches the conchos but is larger measuring around 3" X 2-1/8". The stones on the conchos measure around 5/8" X 1/2" and the stones on the large buckle measure around 7/8" X 3/4". Signed by artist, Robert and Bernice Leekya. Sterling silver, marked. Cir. 1970's+. This belt will fit a waist size between 31-1/4" and 39-1/2". Sturdy 464 grams.
