This is a superlative Santo Domingo multiple stone and shell necklace. This impeccable necklace contains four beautiful strands that consist of a mind blowing plethora of hand cut stones and shells. The stones and shells on this necklace consist of lapis, red spiny oyster, purple spiny oyster, orange spiny oyster, malachite, gaspeite, Royston turquoise, Easter Blue turquoise, and brown shell. Resting at the bottom of the four strand necklace is a remarkable large handmade red spiny oyster shell heart pendant that measures around 1-3/4" X 1-3/4". I absolutely love the amount of stones and shell this necklace contains, allowing for the necklace to have so much character. The stones and shells are hand cut into multiple sizes and shapes. The end neck piece is wonderfull and intricately hand braided. Cir. 1980's+. The length of the necklace measures around 36-1/2". Sturdy 122 grams.
