This is a tremendous vintage Santo Domingo inlaid necklace. The intricacy and detailing of the inlay work on this necklace is absolutely astonishing and so remarkable. The necklace consists of 9 outstanding large graduating inlaid sections with the largest section measuring around 2" X 2". Each inlaid section includes phenomenal intricacy of inlaid stones and shells consisting of jet, turquoise, mother of pearl, orange spiny oyster and red spiny oyster shells. Resting at both ends of the necklace are two strands of amazing hand cut jet heishi with accenting round silver beads and a graduating silver link chain. The shortest length of the necklace measures around 18" long while the longest length of the necklace measures around 21". Such remarkable workmanship. Sterling silver. Sturdy 143 grams.
