Native American Champion Vintage Santo Domingo Nestoria Coriz Coral Sterling Silver Necklace

This is an exceptional vintage Santo Domingo very important coral silver necklace as it is one of the finest Santo Domingo coral necklaces we have collected all year. This piece was handmade by the famous artist, Nestoria Coriz. Nestoria is the mother to the famous Daniel Corix, this necklace is absolutely phenomenal. Look how she braided those corals, usually you have them in single strands, this it the first and ONLY necklace we have ever collected to where the corals acutally stick out from the center of the piece as they are completely hand woven. Resting at the ends are superior large silver drum cones with silver raindrops and a marvelous large traditional silver clasp. Situated at the bottom of the necklace is a mind blowing inlaid teardrop shaped silver pendant that consists of spiny oyster, opal, turquoise and silver. The pendant measures a whopping 3-3/8" X 2" including the large silver bail. All I can say is "WOW" with this necklace as it is one of the best Santo Domingo necklaces we have collected all year. Sterling silver. Cir. 1970's+. Signed by Santo Domingo artist, Nestoria Coriz. The length of the necklace measures around 28". Sturdy 125 grams.
