Museum Vintage Hopi 'Running Bird' Royston Turquoise Native American Jewelry Silver Pin Old

Up for sale is this marvelous vintage Hopi silver pin. This round pin is the traditional silver overlay technique portraying a quail among the yucca and native landscape, with the large Royston turquoise "sun" high in the southwestern sky. The outer edge of the pin has a border of handstamped arches and the pin has a slight convex surface to it, adding wonderful depth and dimension to the piece. The center stone measures around 5/8" x 1/2". Sterling silver, marked. Signed by Hopi artist, John Honie. The pin measures around 2" x 2". Cir. 1970's+. Sturdy 22 grams.
