This is an exceptional vintage Navajo turquoise silver coin bracelet. This wonderful bracelet contains a center large Morgan silver dollar from 1921. Surrounding the coin are remarkable silver works that include wave works, raindrops and a thick silver rope. Resting at the sides of the amazing center silver coin are two chunky large turquoise stones that appear to be from the fascinating Royston turquoise mine. Also surrounding the stones are similar silver works that consist of wave works, raindrops and ropes. This bracelet contains a sturdy and thick double silver shank cuff that graduates in width towards the center. Royston turquoise is a type of turquoise that is highly valued and widely used in Native American jewelry, including Navajo silver bracelets. It is named after the Royston mining district in Nevada, USA, where it is mined.
The stones measure around 5/8" x 1/2". The width of the bracelet measures around 2". Signed by Navajo artist, DN. Sterling silver. Cir. 1970's+. The inside end to end measures around 4-3/4" with an additional 1" gap. Sturdy 63 grams. Royston turquoise is known for its beautiful color variations, ranging from light blue to deep green, often with a matrix of brown or golden-brown veins running through it. This unique matrix pattern adds to its appeal and gives each piece of Royston turquoise a distinct and individual character.

Navajo silver bracelets are renowned for their craftsmanship and intricate silverwork. They often feature various gemstones, including Royston turquoise. Navajo silversmiths carefully select and shape the Royston turquoise stones to fit into their designs, whether it's a single large stone as a centerpiece or multiple smaller stones arranged in a cluster or row.

The silverwork on a Navajo bracelet typically showcases traditional Native American motifs such as geometric patterns, feathers, arrows, or nature-inspired designs. The combination of the sterling silver and the vibrant Royston turquoise creates a visually striking and culturally significant piece of jewelry.
Navajo silver bracelets featuring Royston turquoise are treasured for their beauty, symbolism, and connection to Native American art and culture. They can be found in a variety of styles and sizes, ranging from delicate and understated to bold and statement-making pieces.
