This is a magnificent Navajo marvelous handmade silver spoon and ironwood bowl salt shaker. This remarkable salt shaker piece was wonderfully handmade by the incredible and extremely famous artist, Kenneth Begay. Kenneth was taught by one of the most famous artists in history at the Fort Wingate School, Fred Peshlakai. This piece was made in the incredibly famous White Hogan shop that was located in Scottsdale, AZ. Kenneth was a multiple award winner which is no surprise considering his workmanship is absolutely astonishing. This salt shaker piece contains a beautiful handmade silver spoon that measures around 2-3/8" X 1/2" and contains wonderful slanted line segments, swirling patterns and wave works. I just love how this shaker works, the salt is placed in the ironwood bowl and the spoon acts as the shaker, so stunning. The bowl measures around 2" X 1". Sterling silver, marked. Signed by Navajo artist, Kenneth Begay. Cir. 1960's+. Sturdy 39 grams.
