Midnight Desert Sky Vintage Native American Navajo Turquoise Sterling Silver Buckle

This is a magnificent Navajo space inlay kachina silver buckle. The intricacy and detailing on this buckle is absolutely beautiful and remarkable. The space inlay consists of kachinas, stars and planets. I love how the inlay is all wonderfully hand placed and contains mother of pearl, lapis, coral, Royston turquoise, Sleeping Beauty turquoise, onyx and sugulite. Bordering the buckle are stunning silver works that consist of sun stampings, dotted works, and slanted line segments. The buckle measures around 3" X 2-3/8" and can fit a belt width of about 1-1/2" or less. Sterling silver, marked. Signed by Navajo artist, Clayton Tom. Cir. 1970's+. Sturdy 50 grams.
