Master Technique Vintage Native American Navajo Coral Sterling Silver Bracelet

  • $ 688.49

This is a marvelous vintage Navajo coral silver cuff bracelet. This outstanding bracelet contains five stunning chunky coral stones that are beautifully situated in a cloud pattern silver shadowbox setting. Surrounding the entire cuff from one end to the other are incredible stamp works that include sun stampings, teepee patterns, sun bursting patterns, and plant works. I absolutely love the detailing and beauty on this bracelet as well as the thickness and width. The way the bracelet curves and consists of rounded edges is just remarkable. A Navajo bracelet with coral stones within a shadowbox setting is a beautiful piece of Native American jewelry. Navajo artisans are known for their skilled craftsmanship and use of traditional techniques to create intricate and unique designs. The bracelet typically features a cuff-style band made of sterling silver, which is often hand-stamped or adorned with intricate silverwork patterns such as repoussé or overlay. The silver band may be wide or narrow, depending on the design and preference of the artist. Within the shadowbox setting, coral stones are placed to create a visually striking contrast against the silver background. . The stones measure around 3/8" x 3/16". The width of the bracelet measures around 1-1/2". Signed by Navajo artist, C. Benally . Sterling silver, marked. Cir. 1970's+. The inside end to end measures around 5-1/2" with an additional 1-1/4" gap. Sturdy 54 grams. Coral has been valued and used in Native American jewelry for centuries, and it carries symbolic significance in Navajo culture. The vibrant red or orange hues of the coral stones add a pop of color and a touch of nature to the overall design. The shadowbox setting itself consists of a silver bezel surrounding each coral stone, creating a raised, box-like appearance. This setting style not only provides protection for the stones but also enhances their visual impact. The contrast between the raised coral stones and the recessed silver background adds depth and dimension to the bracelet. Navajo jewelry, including bracelets, holds cultural and spiritual significance for the Navajo people. Each piece is a unique work of art, reflecting the artisan's creativity and connection to their cultural heritage. Wearing a Navajo bracelet with coral stones within a shadowbox setting not only adds a touch of beauty to your attire but also celebrates the rich traditions and craftsmanship of the Navajo people
