This is a fascinating vintage Navajo silver bowguard. It's a black leather bowguard! No, it's a watchband! No, it's actually Both! How unique! Silver leaves and berries decorate the 3-3/4" x 2-1/2" silver shield that hosts the 4 Morenci turquoise stones set at each of the symbolic four corners! And guarding either side of the shield is a 3" x 5/8" handstamped silver bar! The bowguard is about 3-3/4" wide and about 8-3/4" around with leather ties for adjustability. And it will fit about a 1" watch. Outstanding! The stones measure around 1/2" x 7/16". Sterling silver. Sturdy 124 grams. Cir Mid Century.
