Important Zuni Native American Lapis Sterling Silver Bracelet

This is an impressive vintage Zuni very important single stone silver bracelet handmade by one of the best and unique Zuni artists in history, Julian Chavez. What we absolutely love about Julian is that he does Navajo techniques but is a Zuni artist, which makes his pieces extremely collectable and highly rare. It is very rare for a Zuni artist to go outside of their comfort zone of doing inlay to doing Navajo technique. This piece contains a large dome shaped lapis stone being one of the largest lapis bracelets we have ever collected. Surrounding the stone are an amazing plethora of silver raindrops with accenting sun stampings. Running down both ends of the heavy and wide triple silver shank cuff are superior hand repoussed silver shell flanks. The center stone measures around 2-1/8" x 1-1/2". The width of the bracelet measures around 2-1/4". Signed by Zuni artist, Julian Chavez . Sterling silver, marked. Cir. 1970's+. The inside end to end measures around 5-1/2" with an additional 1-1/2" gap. Sturdy 96 grams.
