Important Vintage Native American Zuni Turquoise Inlay Sterling Silver Squash Blossom Necklace

This is a magnificent vintage Zuni inlaid silver squash blossom style necklace and earring set. This remarkable necklace contains 12 fabulous inlaid silver pendants that are unique shapes and measure around 1-1/4" X 1/2". Located in each pendant consists of malachite, mother of pearl, coral, onyx and turquoise. The stones and shells are inlaid in unique patterns, so beautiful. Bordering two of the edges of the unique shaped pendants are amazing thick silver ropes. Resting at the bottom of the necklace is a fascinating hand inlaid silver naja pendant that measures around 2-1/4" X 2-1/4". Resting throughout the rest of the necklace are incredible handmade round silver beads with a traditional silver clasp. The earrings are of the same shape as each of the side pendants and measure around 1" X 1/2" consisting of the same beautiful inlaid stones and shells. Sterling silver. Cir. 1970's+. Signed by Zuni artist, Leekity . The length of the necklace measures around 28". Sturdy 103 grams.
