Important Vintage Native American Navajo Sidney Nez Lapis Sterling Silver Concho Belt Old

This is an impressive vintage Navajo lapis and silver concho belt. This outstanding belt contains 10 remarakble rectangular shaped silver conchos that each measure around 2" X 1-1/2". Situated in the center of each concho are amazing dome shaped lapis lazuli stones that each measure around 3/4" X 1/2". The surrounding silver works on each concho include bordering teepees with center line segments. The buckle on this belt contains amazing matching silver works as the conchos and measures around 2-3/8" X 1-7/8". What I love about this belt is that it was handmade by a member of the Nez family, Sidney Nez. Sidney is known for her top notch silver works. Signed by Navajo artist, Sidney Nez . Sterling silver, marked. Cir. 1980's+. This belt will fit a waist size between 32" and 46-1/2". Sturdy 330 grams.
