Important Vintage Native American Navajo Nila Turquoise Sterling Silver Bracelet Cuff Old

This is a marvelous Navajo turquoise and silver concho belt. This belt appears to have been handmade by the famous artist, Nela Cook. This outstandng piece contains 16 beautiful hand wrought silver conchos that each measure around 1-3/8" X 1". Situated in the center of each concho are superior turquoise stones. Surrounding the stones are wonderful repoussed patterns with accenting sun patterns. The buckle on this belt is amazing as it measures around 2" X 1-3/4" and carries similar silver patterns as each of the conchos. Signed by Navajo artist, Nela Cook . Sterling silver, marked. Cir. 1970's+. This belt will fit a waist size between 33-1/2" and 38-1/2". Sturdy 157 grams.
