Important Vintage Native American Navajo Mark Yazzie Sterling Silver Bracelet Cuff

This is an incredible vintage Navajo large and very thick silver and gold bracelet handmade by the famous artist, Mark Yazzie. Mark Yazzie is a Navajo artist who creates jewelry and other works of art inspired by the cultural traditions and natural beauty of the Navajo people. He was born in Gallup, New Mexico in 1969 and grew up on the Navajo Nation in Arizona. Yazzie comes from a family of jewelers, and he learned the craft from his parents and grandparents. He began making jewelry as a teenager and has been creating his own unique designs for over 30 years. His jewelry incorporates traditional Navajo designs and techniques, such as stamp work and the use of natural materials like turquoise, coral, and silver. However, he also adds his own artistic flair and contemporary touches to his work, resulting in pieces that are both traditional and modern. Yazzie's work has been exhibited in museums and galleries across the United States, and he has won numerous awards for his craftsmanship and artistry. This cuff bracelet consists of a marvelous large and very detailed feather pattern. Located in the center is a fascinating 12k gold hand carved feather that rests on top of the thick and sturdy detailed silver feather pattern. The multiple and very detailing about the mind blowing chisel works is just astonishing. I love the superior bordering waving carve works. What I also love about this bracelet are the hand carved feather stampings on each end, so incredible. The width of the bracelet measures around 1". Signed by Navajo artist, Mark Yazzie . Sterling silver and 12k gold, marked . Cir. 1970's+. The inside end to end measures around 5-3/4" with an additional 1" gap. Sturdy 86 grams.
