Important Vintage Native American Navajo Gibson Nez 14k Gold Lone Mountain Turquoise Necklace

This is an incredible vintage Navajo gold necklace being one of the finest gold necklaces we have collected this year. What makes this piece so remarkable and unique is that it was handmade by the famous artist, Gibson Nez. He has won multiple awards and is mentioned in several books. Gibson Nez was one of the best Navajo artists in history. What makes this piece even more special is that it is make out of solid 14k gold. The incredible large 2" X 1-1/4" (including the bail) gold pendant consists of a phenomenal and rare Lone Mountain turquoise stone. The stone measures around 5/8" X 1/2". Surrounding the stone are impeccable zig zag patterns. 14k gold, marked . Cir. 1970's+. Signed by Navajo artist, Gibson Nez and Navajo. The length of the necklace measures around 24". Sturdy 24 grams.
