Important Vintage Native American Navajo Ernest Benally Turquoise Sterling Silver Necklace

This is a tremendous vintage Navajo inlaid silver necklace being one of the finest inlaid necklaces we have collected this year. This necklace was handmade by the famous artist, Earnest Benally. Earnest is one of the best inlayers. Resting at the bottom of the very long and heavy silver necklace is a wonderful intricate inlaid rounded silver pendant. The inlay consists of coral, malachite, Sleeping Beauty turquoise, and mother of pearl. The inlay is placed in a superior rounded shadowbox setting with surrounding silver channel patterns. I absolutely love the phenomenal hand carved and very detailed silver feathers that dangle from the bottom rounded silver pendant. Resting throughout the entire necklace are beautiful graudating round silver beads with the largest measuring around 3/4" in diameter. Check out that impeccable long rectangular shaped inlaid section that is situated towards the bottom of the rounded silver beads. The detailing and intricacy of this necklace is absolutely remarkable. Sterling silver, marked. Cir. 1990's+. Signed by Navajo artist, Earnest Benally . The length of the necklace measures around 29". Sturdy 137 grams.
