Important Vintage Native American Navajo Ambrose Roanhorse Turquoise Sterling Silver Bracelet

This is an exceptional vintage Navajo inlaid silver bracelet. This museum quality piece was handmade by one of the most famous Navajo artists in history, Ambrose Roanhorse. Ambrose was one of the most important Navajo silversmiths in history. The silver works on this bracelet is just incredible as the piece is heavy and huge and is completely hand tooled. This heavy and thick silver cuff consists of remarakble zig zag patterns on the sides of the cuff. Situated across the center of the cuff are absolutely stunning square shaped turquoise inlay that appears to be from the rare Carico Lake turquoise mine. This bracelet consists of old natural patina. Ambrose's hallmark is located on pg 288 of Native American and Southwestern Silver Hallmarks book. Ambrose contributed greatly to the advancement of Native American jewelry and to the Navajo Guild. He is just a very important artist. The width of the bracelet measures around 1-1/2". Signed by Navajo artist, Ambrose Roanhorse. Sterling silver, marked. Cir. 1950's+. The inside end to end measures around 5-1/2" with an additional 1-1/2" gap. Sturdy 138 grams.
