Important Vintage Al Yellowhorse Native American Navajo Turquoise Sterling Silver Necklace

This is a breathtaking vintage Navajo inlaid silver pendant necklace handmade by the very famous artist, Alvin Yellowhorse. Alvin is known for his impeccable inlay workmanship which is very rare to find amongst the Navajo tribe. The large and thick silver pendant contains a beautiful inlaid monument with a night sky having shooting stars. The inlay consists of remarkable lapis, spiny oyster, Sleeping Beauty turquoise, gaspeite, and coral. The unique silver works that border the entire pendant contain deep channel patterns with superior hand carved silver works at the bottom with unique patterns. The pendant measures a whopping 2" X 2" including the phenomenal large silver bail. Check out that silver link chain that is sturdy and very unique in design. Sterling silver. Cir. 1970's+.
