Important- One Of The Most Intricate Native American Zuni Coral Turquoise Sterling Silver Buckle

  • $ 999.99

This is a fascinating vintage Zuni very important inlaid silver buckle handmade by the famous artist, Harlan Coonsis. The inlay on this very thick square shaped buckle is extremely intricate and mind blowing. The inlay consists of a coral and spiny oyster dancing kachina that is dancing on a remarkable hand carved mesa. The mesa is hand carved into a beautiful opal shell. What I really love about this piece is that impeccable inlaid sun face up on the top left corner, you never see that, absolutely incredible. This buckle measures around 2-1/2" X 2-1/8" and can fit a belt width of about 1-3/4" or less. Sterling silver, marked. Signed by Zuni artist, Harlan Coonsis . Cir. 1970's+. Sturdy 58 grams.
