A striking vintage Navajo Native American jewelry Native American jewelry silver necklace. Wow - does this necklace have it going on! Dominant Royston turquoise discs (the largest center 1-1/8" round) are each separated with unique stones at the center, with the rest of the necklace made up of a colorful collection of various other types of stones including lapis and coral. Not only are the stones each unique in their own right, but so are the eclectic shapes of the stones! I seem to concentrate on different ones each time I gaze upon this necklace! And then there's the silver drum beads...three sets of two styles of beads each! My favorites are the largest 1-1/8" x 5/8" coming from the center turquoise discs. They're absolutely stunning -- wrap-around silver applique rug designs set against the dark textured background. The necklace has a silver shepherd's hook clasp and about 3-1/2" extra chain to shorten up the necklace some if you so choose. Sterling silver. Cir. 1990's+. Signed by Navajo Native American jewelry Native American jewelry artist, Rich Singer. The length of the necklace measures around 29". Sturdy 226 grams.
