This is an exceptional Navajo silver horned toad bolo tie handmade by the famous artist, Wilford Begay. This piece contains a large all silver horned toad bolo that measures around 2-1/2" X 1-3/4". Horned toads are symbolic of being their grandfathers who protect the arrowheads on sacred land. Resting at the bottom of the 38" black leather tie are silver pins with accenting silver raindrops. Signed by Navajo artist, Wilfred Begay . Sterling silver, marked. Cir. 1970's+. Sturdy 39 grams.
