This is a remarkable vintage Navajo museum quality silver concho belt. This phenomenal piece was handmade by the famous artist Martha Cayatineto. Martha is one of the best female silversmith artists in history and you can just tell by her intricacy of the silver works. Check out the detailing of that phenomenal 2-1/4" X 1-3/4" silver buckle. Situated on the betl are 17 amazing all silver conchos, 9 being butterfly conchos. The silver works that are located on the piece include repoussed shells, teepee patterns, channel works and sun works. Signed by Navajo artist, Martha Cayatineto . Sterling silver. Cir. 1980's+. This belt will fit a waist size between 28-1/2" and 47-1/2". Sturdy 266 grams.
