Important Long Native American Navajo Sterling Silver Tubule Shell Necklace
This is an impressive Navajo very long silver bead and spiny oyster shell necklace. This phenomenal necklace is incredibly long and consists of outstanding long silver tubule beads with accenting large rounded silver beads. Each of the long tubule beads measure around 1-7/8" X 1/2". Located on each of the long tubule beads are wonderful siklver sun stampings with accenting dotted works. Situated throughout the silver beads are marvelous handmade disc shaped orange spiny oyster shells. The largest rounded silver bead at the bottom of the necklace on the jacla pendant measures around 1" in diameter. Serperating the jacla penant from the long part of the necklace is an outstanding large silver bead. What I really love about this necklace is that it comes with a marvelous matching pair of silver earrings with accenting disc shaped orange spiny oyster shells. Sterling silver, marked. Cir. 1980's+. Signed by Navajo artist, Soph Becenti. The length of the necklace measures around 38". Sturdy 130 grams.
