Important artist who unfortunately passed away a few years ago. Very famous and contributed a lot to the advancement of Navajo silver work, highly respected artist. This is a museum quality vintage Navajo silver concho belt. This impeccable belt contains 7 outstanding very thick and sturdy large silver conchos that each measure around 2-3/4" X 2-5/8". The intricacy of the silver stampings on each concho are just stunning including x patterns, bordering sun bursting channel patterns and center repoussed shells in a flower formation. The buckle matches the conchos with design patterns and measures around 2-7/8" X 2-3/4" Signed by Navajo artist, Kirk Smith . Sterling silver, marked. Cir. 1970's+. This belt will fit a waist size between 33-1/4" and 45". Sturdy 462 grams.
