This is an exceptional vintage Zuni handcarved silver buckle having a large sea of stunning Morenci and Kingman turquoise stones sprinkled with silver beads, surrounded by silver rope and a handcarved silver border! Truly Astounding Work of Art!

Morenci turquoise comes from southeast Arizona, near the New Mexico border and is light to bright blue in color. The Kingman Turquoise Mine in Arizona has turquoise among the most sought after varieties, known for its beautiful, characteristic veining and used for the highest quality turquoise jewelry.

The belt width is about 1-1/2". The largest stone measures around 3/8" x 3/8". Sterling silver, marked. Signed by Zuni artist, D.S. The buckle measures around 3-1/2" x 2-3/4". Sturdy 72 grams.
