Hand Carved Vintage Native American Navajo Turquoise Sterling Silver Buckle Heavy

This is a remarkable vintage Navajo large chunky turquoise silver buckle. Located in the center of the buckle are three large chunky Blue Gem turquoise stones with accenting raindrops and ropes. Located at the sides of the buckle are phenomenal hand carved shadowbox kokopelli patterns with accenting carved rain clouds and plant patterns. Bordering the edges of the thick sturdy silver buckle are deep wave works. The buckle measures around 3" X 2-1/4" and can fit a belt width of about 1-3/8" or less. The center stone measures around 7/8" x 1/2". Sterling silver, marked. Signed by Navajo artist, H Spencer. Cir. 1970's+. Sturdy 57 grams.
