Grand Vintage 1972 Native American Navajo Turquoise Sterling Silver Concho Belt Old

This is a museum quality vintage Navajo very large turquoise and silver concho belt. This remarkable belt contains 7 outstanding large oval shaped silver conchos that each consist of five beautiful chunky Royston turquoise stones. The silver works surrounding the stones are incredible consisting of sun stampings, channel works, and repoussed shells. I absolutely love how the very thick and wide leather belt contains marvelous stamp works as well. The buckle on the belt is a wonderful rectangular pattern that measures a whopping 3-3/8" X 2-5/8". The buckle includes two Royston turquoise stones with marvelous silver sun stampings, and repoussed shells. The detailing on this belt is absolutely phenomenal. Located on the back of the leather belt is stamped "For Bud GR 72" which is amazing as it was a personal item made from the artist to either a family member or friend. The width of the belt measures a whopping 3". The stones measure around 1/2" x 3/8". Signed by Navajo artist, GR 72. Sterling silver. Cir. 1972. This belt will fit a waist size between 35" and 39-1/2". Sturdy 557 grams.
