Gasp! Vintage Native American Navajo Turquoise Inlay Sterling Silver Necklace

This is an incredible vintage Navajo inlaid silver bear pendant necklace. This fascinating necklace contains such amazing workmanship that includes hand carved silver works along with hand inlaid stones and shells. The intricacy of the bear pendant and the bail consist of deep geometric patters with accenting arrow works and a center silver deep paw pattern on the bail. The entire pendant measures around 1-3/4" X 1-1/2" including the bail. The inlaid stones and shells located in the center of the pendant consist of turquoise, red spiny oyster, onyx and white stone. The rest of the necklace is beautifully comprised of three strands that consist of tubule silver beads and round silver beads, such amazing workmanship on this necklace. Sterling silver, marked. Cir. 1970's+. Signed by Navajo artist, Joe Barela . The length of the necklace measures around 21". Sturdy 23 grams.
