An exquisite vintage Zuni silver necklace. For this attractive necklace, the artist has chosen these seven(!) large 1-1/4" x 5/16" elongated Mother of Pearl stones that each have the most wonderful Iridescence to them! The center station measures about 1-3/4" x 1-5/8" and the size and shapes of the three stations of the necklace are linked to beautifully grace the necklace! The two side stations are then connected to the chain links of the necklace that lead to the clasp at the back - and that also allow for some length adjustability. So Fine! Native American artisans have incorporated mother of pearl into their jewelry for centuries, creating stunning pieces that highlight the natural luster and colors of this material. The luminous and pearlescent qualities of mother of pearl add a touch of elegance and unique texture to the jewelry. The natural variations in color and iridescence make each piece of mother of pearl jewelry unique. Sterling silver, marked. Signed by Zuni artist, Fred Weekoty.
