Best Vintage Native American Navajo Hank Whitethorne Turquoise Sterling Silver Necklace

This is a remarkable vintage Navajo turquoise silver squash blossom necklace being one of the finest necklaces we have collected all year. This piece was handmade by the famous artist, Hank Whitethorn who is one of the most famous Navajo artists in history. Hank is known for his incredible multi technique pieces and this necklace is one of the best he has ever created. This necklace is just phenomenal as the silver is heavy and thick which makes it even more collectible. Located on the necklace are 7 fascinating triangular shaped turquoise stones that appear to be from the extremely rare and highly collectible old Blue Warrior turquoise mine. The largest stone measures around 1-3/8" X 1-3/8" and is situated on a marvelous large extremely intricate silver pendant that measures around 3-1/2" X 3-1/2". The silver works located througout the entire necklace are absolutely remarkable as they include deep geometric patterns. Located towards the bottom is a seperate pendant that consists of a beautiful triangular shaped lapis stone. Again, this necklace is very thick and sturdy with an outstanding large and sturdy traditional silver clasp. Sterling silver. Cir. 1970's+. Signed by Navajo artist, Hank Whitethorn . The length of the necklace measures around 28". Sturdy 299 grams.
