This is a museum quality vintage Santo Domingo very unique and intricate LARGE inlaid thunderbird necklace. This impeccable necklace contains five very large outstanding hand inlaid thunderbirds. The largest resting at the bottom measures a mind blowing 4-1/2" X 4" and is a whopping 3/8" thick, WOW WOW WOW! What makes this necklace even more unique and valuable is that it can be worn two ways, its double sided. While one side of the necklace consists of spiny oyster shells, white shells, abalone, lapis, jet and Sleeping Beauty turquoise stones the other side of the necklace consists of an even crazier amount of inlay. The inlay on the other side contains gaspeite, jet, white shell, abalone, pipestone, Sleeping Beauty turquoise, spiny oyster, lapis and mother of pearl, again WOW!!! This necklace contains an outstanding amount of hand cut graduating disc shaped jet stones that rest throughout. I just cant get enough of this necklace and how beautiful it truly is.
